Our Work, Royal Historical Society

Interactive report and marketing assets

The Brief

The Royal Historical Society (RHS) – the UK’s largest membership organisation for historians – asked us to design and create an interactive report outlining the importance and value of history to society, key challenges facing the sector, and the RHS’s role as an advocate for the subject

Our Challenge

The challenge was to create an impactful, user-friendly, interactive report with a clear and simple layout and custom illustrations, and to design an eye-catching infographic and slide deck to highlight key data and facts from the report

Report

We worked with the RHS to create a clear and impactful design incorporating their brand fonts and colours.

After reviewing and honing the draft content, we identified the most important data to communicate with the audience and pulled this out into engaging graphics such as graphs, tables and icons.

The result was a 12-page, user-friendly, interactive PDF report for circulation to the RHS’s membership and to journalists.

Infographic

To supplement the report, we designed an infographic incorporating an executive summary and highlighting key data and facts.

The infographic balanced positive messages about history as a strong and significant subject with high student satisfaction, and the risks posed by cuts and course closures in reducing access to learning opportunities in the sector.

Slide Deck

We created a short, visually engaging PowerPoint presentation summarising the report.

The slides were designed to highlight key data from the report, presented in eye-catching graphs, tables and icons.

The RHS plans to use the presentation at its meetings and conferences, as well as sharing it more widely with potential history students and their parents.

VISUAL ASSETS

We designed visual assets to help support the RHS’s key messages in social media posts on LinkedIn and X (Twitter)
