Our Work, Concinnity

Launching a new company as leaders in gene control

Our Challenge

To develop a strong brand and messaging that communicated the innovative science and potential benefits of Concinnity Genetics. The company is a spin-out from the University of Edinburgh and needed to position itself within the gene therapy space to generate investment and build partnerships.

Our Approach

A modern, powerful brand proposition with impactful PR launch

Sciad worked with Concinnity Genetics to identify the benefits of its innovative technology and communicate these with key target audiences.

We used a combination of message development, branding and design to create a portfolio of useful assets before launching the company via an impactful media launch and follow on thought leadership activities.

The branding

A confident visual identity, lead by bold colours and distinctive design flourishes.

From the outset, our goal was to bring the core principles of the brief to life: creating a contemporary brand and website that communicates the pioneering technologies behind a new era of gene therapy. Through bold colour palettes and fluid, curved forms, we translated innovation and optimism across every touchpoint. Working closely with our client throughout the process, the Sciad team delivered a brand we’re collectively proud of – one that feels as progressive as the science behind it.

The WebsIte

A simple yet visually striking website, showcasing Concinnity’s expertise.

With limited access to bespoke photography or technical imagery, the website’s success relied on strong brand execution and clarity of design. By carefully sourcing stock imagery and combining it with Concinnity’s bold colour palette, we created a striking, credible digital presence that feels both modern and assured.

Built on WordPress using the Gutenberg editor, the site was designed to be intuitive and flexible, allowing the team to easily manage and evolve content as the company grows. Clean layouts, confident use of colour and restrained typography ensure the science remains accessible, while reinforcing Concinnity’s position at the forefront of gene therapy innovation.
