Introducing Sciad’s new branding and logo
Communicating our integrated services to an evolving sector
When Sciad launched in 2008, the letters in our company name reflected my background in ‘science and advertising’. Our focus was on small UK life science businesses, with digital marketing, website builds and PR as our core offering. Fifteen years and four office moves later, we’ve grown our team, expanded and diversified our client base, and enhanced our range of services. 2023 felt like the ideal time to refresh our brand.
Team approach to a new visual identity
We wanted to involve the entire team, so began the process with an in-house workshop to brainstorm what it is that motivates us, and to define our values. Using these insights, we worked hard to develop design concepts and a messaging framework, culminating in a new purpose and way of thinking about our business supported by a strong new visual identity and greatly improved website and marketing materials.
‘Bringing innovation to life’
This new strapline reflects the common vision of all the organisations we work with – to shape the future through scientific innovation. Every innovation has a story, and our goal is to bring these stories to life through creative marketing communications strategies and analytical thinking to help our clients grow their businesses.
A new company website
This was our first refresh in over five years and an opportunity to promote the full range of services we now offer and to demonstrate our core values of collaboration, innovation and excellence. Our aim was to create a clean, fresh and user-friendly website that is engaging, informative and credible by bringing through the design language and personality from our new brand along with case studies that showcase the results that we achieve for our clients.
A bright future
We’re proud of ‘Team Sciad’ – a talented group of communicators, scientists, and designers – and we hope our rebrand reflects our collective passion for bringing scientific innovation to life.
These are exciting times for science. We’re at the dawn of a new era of unprecedented technological change and scientific innovation that has the power to do good and meet some of the challenges of our unpredictable world. After fifteen years in the sector, we’re proud to present our new brand and website to people who want to bring their innovations to life and look forward to forging many successful collaborations in the years to come.
