Sciad welcomes Jasmin Shearan to the team

Coming from a long line of scientists, such as my grandfather, a past president of the Society of Cosmetic Scientists, I’ve always had a keen interest in technical subjects. I strengthened this further whilst studying for my degree in biology at the University of Sheffield, where I had the opportunity to go on a research trip to the Arctic. While my appetite for learning about science has always been clear, it was during a university project in my final year where I developed my interest in science communication.

After graduating from university, I found my calling in the world of technical PR, which allowed me to practise my passion for learning, conversing and writing about science. I particularly enjoyed translating highly technical subjects into creative content that clearly delivered a business’s core messages to its target audience.

Working with a broad range of scientific clients over the years has highlighted to me the importance of a focused and strategic PR campaign in the success of a business in its market. Therefore, I’m thrilled to join the team at Sciad to support clients in the science, tech and health industries in cutting through complexity to effectively convey their unique message.
