I am delighted to have joined SCIAD Communications as Project Director, working with the team to support the continued success of life science and healthcare businesses. Whilst face-to-face networking might be ‘on hold’ for the time being, I am very much looking forward to meeting clients virtually, and in person, in the not-too-distant future.

I have spent my career working in marketing and communications within higher education; most recently, with the Royal Veterinary College (RVC) and the University of Surrey’s new School of Veterinary Medicine – collaborating with academics and practitioners to develop courses and services to meet the needs of prospective student and commercial audiences.

At the RVC,  I spent six years working to establish its business incubator, the London BioScience Innovation Centre (LBIC) as a life science and biotech hub in London. The breadth and depth of the sector has always fascinated me – one minute we would be speaking with a biotech entrepreneur involved with a new start-up and the next, with an established international business keen to gain a foothold in London.

Having always been ‘client-side’, it’s very exciting to be sitting on the other side of the fence, making sure that client briefs are understood and that any investment in marketing helps businesses to engage with customers, healthcare professionals and other interested parties.

It’s great to be back at the cutting edge of marketing and communications in life sciences and healthcare, at a time when the need to establish reputation, build collaborative ventures and deliver a return on investment for clients has never been more important.

I hope to meet you in the months to come and look forward to finding out more about your businesses and ways in which we can help.
